Book Name – Calvin and Hobbes

Author of the book- Bill Watterson
Class/section – 9D
Kind of Book – Comic Book

REVIEW OF THE BOOK
Probably the best Comic strip ever made. This ended before I
was even born (1998), but it still brings me back to my
childhood every time I read them. It is the most interesting
comic book I've read ever in my life. Bill Watterson who is the
author has an amazing imagination that captures a perfect
picture of the child in all of us. The timeless quality of Calvin
and Hobbes' subject and the commentary it sheds on
American culture explains the continued popularity and
impact of the comic. Calvin and Hobbes centers around a six-
year-old boy and his best friend. While seemingly simple, the
comic often depicts and explains complex topics. Whenever I
read this I burst out laughing as it is so funny and interesting
that one must read it in their lifetime. It's interesting and also
shocking to know that I've already read this book 4-5 times
personally just in 3-4 months. I enjoyed the clever mix of
slapstick humor and verbal humor. The most important lesson
Watterson tried to teach readers with his characters was the
power of friendship. Calvin believed in friendship a lot and he

respected and loved Hobbes more than his life he defines the
true power of unbreakable friendship even though it wasn't
perfect but still, it was good. However, Hobbes, though
imaginary, always stuck by Calvin through thick and thin. In
the last I will recommend all the book lovers to read this
comic once in their life they will just love it. This comic will fill
you abundantly with happiness and laughter.
