My review on Macbeth

The Real Lady Macbeth - Joanna CourtneyThe story begins with the brief appearance of a trio of witches and then moves to a military camp, where the Scottish King Duncan hears the news that his generals, Macbeth and Banquo, have defeated two separate invading armies—one from Ireland, led by the rebel Macdonwald, and one from Norway. Following their pitched battle with these enemy forces, Macbeth and Banquo encounter the witches as they cross a moor. The witches prophesy that Macbeth will be made thane (a rank of Scottish nobility) of Cawdor and eventually King of Scotland. They also prophesy that Macbeth's companion, Banquo, will beget a line of Scottish kings, although Banquo will never be king himself. The witches vanish, and Macbeth and Banquo treat their prophecies skeptically until some of King Duncan's men come to thank the two generals for their victories in battle and to tell Macbeth that he has indeed been named thane of Cawdor. The previous thane betrayed Scotland by fighting for the Norwegians and Duncan has condemned him to death. Macbeth is intrigued by the possibility that the remainder of the witches' prophecy—that he will be crowned king—might be true, but he is uncertain what to expect. He visits with King Duncan, and they plan to dine together at Inverness, Macbeth's castle, that night. Macbeth writes ahead to his wife, Lady Macbeth, telling her all that has happened.
Lady Macbeth suffers none of her husband's uncertainty. She desires the kingship for him and wants him to murder Duncan in order to obtain it. When Macbeth arrives at Inverness, she overrides all of her husband's objections and persuades him to kill the king that very night. He and Lady Macbeth plans to get Duncan's two chamberlains drunk so they will black out; the next morning they will blame the murder on the chamberlains, who will be defenseless, as they will remember nothing. While Duncan is asleep, Macbeth stabs him, despite his doubts and a number of supernatural portents, including a vision of a bloody dagger. When Duncan's death is discovered the next morning, Macbeth kills the chamberlains—ostensibly out of rage at their crime—and easily assumes the kingship. Duncan's sons Malcolm and Donalbain flee to England and Ireland, respectively, fearing that whoever killed Duncan desires their demise as well.
Fearful of the witches' prophecy that Banquo's heirs will seize the throne, Macbeth hires a group of murderers to kill Banquo and his son Fleance. They ambush Banquo on his way to a royal feast, but they fail to kill Fleance, who escapes into the night. Macbeth becomes furious: as long as Fleance is alive, he fears that his power remains insecure. At the feast that night, Banquo's ghost visits Macbeth. When he sees the ghost, Macbeth raves fearfully, startling his guests, who include most of the great Scottish nobility. Lady Macbeth tries to neutralize the damage, but Macbeth's kingship incites increasing resistance from his nobles and subjects. Frightened, Macbeth goes to visit the witches in their cavern. There, they show him a sequence of demons and spirits who present him with further prophecies: he must beware of Macduff, a Scottish nobleman who opposed Macbeth's accession to the throne; he is incapable of being harmed by any man born of woman, and he will be safe until Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane Castle. Macbeth is relieved and feels secure because he knows that all men are born of women and that forests cannot move. When he learns that Macduff has fled to England to join Malcolm, Macbeth orders that Macduff's castle be seized and, most cruelly, that Lady Macduff and her children are murdered.
When news of his family's execution reaches Macduff in England, he is stricken with grief and vows revenge. Prince Malcolm, Duncan's son, has succeeded in raising an army in England, and Macduff joins him as he rides to Scotland to challenge Macbeth's forces. The invasion has the support of the Scottish nobles, who are appalled and frightened by Macbeth's tyrannical and murderous behavior. Lady Macbeth, meanwhile, becomes plagued with fits of sleepwalking in which she bemoans what she believes to be bloodstains on her hands. Before Macbeth's opponents arrive, Macbeth receives news that she has killed herself, causing him to sink into deep and pessimistic despair. Nevertheless, he awaits the English and fortifies Dunsinane, to which he seems to have withdrawn in order to defend himself, certain that the witches' prophecies guarantee his invincibility. He is struck numb with fear, however, when he learns that the English army is advancing on Dunsinane shielded with boughs cut from Birnam Wood. Birnam Wood is indeed coming to Dunsinane, fulfilling half of the witches' prophecy.
In the battle, Macbeth hews violently, but the English forces gradually overwhelm his army and castle. On the battlefield, Macbeth encounters the vengeful Macduff, who declares that he was not "of woman born" but was instead "untimely ripped" from his mother's womb (what we now call birth by cesarean section). Though he realizes that he is doomed, Macbeth continues to fight until Macduff kills and beheads him. Malcolm, now the King of Scotland, declares his benevolent intentions for the country and invites all to see him crowned at Scone.

My Review On The Dusk Society

I read that, the eponymous society is a team of scientific and spiritual masters, formed in the early 20th century to combat a dark sorcerer conveniently named Pierceblood. Working with Pierceblood is a team of classic literary villains, including Frankenstein's monster and Dracula. The story takes place in the modern era at a smalltown high school and focuses on four students. Barbara, Nick, Ronnie, and Ishita—a psychic, a hacker, a slacker, and a chemistry whiz, respectively—are chosen by a mysterious Dusk Society recruiter, Miss Raven, to fight against Pierceblood. Ishita is the only memorable one in the bunch thanks to her quirky personality; the rest feel like the sort of cookie-cutter teen personalities you see in educational videos. In fact, the story's tone has an air of middle school library fiction. What's worse is that the all-star cast is never used effectively, with Dracula and the monster barely getting any face time. On the bright side, Kumar's artwork is enjoyable, and the characters are likable in spite of their flatness.

I think mathematics is very easy subject; if we understand first of all langveng of that subject for example symbuls ; number system and transportation rule which is very easy for every one. But if we do not under stand thise meanig then it is become very tough . Suppose we want to find relation between man and day the it is clear that if we increase number of man than number of day deacrease so we can write as" M" is inveraly proportionl to no of "day" that is M€D

HARAPPA (CURSE OF THE BLOOD RIVER) - By Amish Tripathi

The book is a part of a trilogy which provides a very vibrant mix of all sorts of emotions. It depicts a character who is said to be half-human and half-god. The story keeps building the interest and when it ends you are so curious that you start the next one in the series. The book itself has such a wonderful storyline that you would be unable to resist yourself from reading it.
"Vidyut's dying ancestor summons him to Banaras. The old Brahmin chieftain of the Dev-Raakshasa Matth, or the God-Demon Clan, bears a chilling secret. Their bloodline carries an ancient curse that will plague mankind - towards its own violent extinction."

TESS OF THE D'URBERVILLES- Thomas Hardy

Tess is helpless against and mostly submissive to, those around her. But, she suffers not only because of the seducer who destroys her but also because her beloved does not save her. Despite her suffering and weakness in the face of her suffering, she demonstrates patience and endurance. Tess takes pleasure in toiling on the dairy farms, and she seems almost invincible to the trials of life. Given her enduring strength through all of her troubles, in some sense, the only appropriate ending was her death on the gallows. Her story became the ultimate tragedy.
The issue of fate versus freedom of action is another important aspect of "Tess of the d'Urbervilles". While the main story-line may sound fatalistic, Hardy does not miss the opportunity to point out that the darkest of tragedies could be prevented by human action and consideration: Humanity.

COLLECTED POEMS by Sylvia Plath

"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
I think I made you up inside my head..."

Sylvia Plath has been, and probably always will be, a poet whose words hit me harder than many others' ever will. Many of the poems in this collection are very familiar to me: I've shed tears over them, adored them, resented them, analyzed them to death and absorbed their every message in my heart over the course of years now. I got to revisit some of my old favorites, which still haven't lost their magic over me.

Some of my favorites included in this collection are:

- Lady Lazarus (possibly Plath's most famous poem, and one of my all-time favorites)
- The Moon and the Yew-tree
- Elm
- Paralytic
- Edge

All of these are amazing poems in their own sense, but reading the collection as a whole helped me understand a bit more about Sylvia Plath as a person whom I absolutely adore.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE by Jane Austen

"There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of merit or sense." - Elizabeth Bennet

As one might expect from a romantic comedy, love is the central theme to Pride and Prejudice. In particular, the novel focuses on the different ways love may grow or disappear, and whether or not society has room for romantic love and marriage to go together. We see love at first sight (Jane and Bingley), love that grows (Elizabeth and Darcy), and infatuation that fades (Lydia and Wickham) or has faded (Mr. and Mrs. Bennet). Throughout the story, it becomes apparent that the novel is arguing that love based on genuine compatibility is the ideal.

The title makes it pretty clear that pride is going to be an important theme, but the message is more nuanced than just the concept itself. Pride is presented as perfectly reasonable to some degree, but when it gets out of hand, it gets in the way of the characters' happiness. Thus, the novel suggests that an excess of pride is costly.
In Pride and Prejudice, "prejudice" is not as socially charged as it is in contemporary usage. Here, the theme is more about preconceived notions and snap judgments. Prejudice is a flaw of several characters, but first and foremost it is the main flaw of our protagonist Elizabeth. She prides herself on her ability to judge character, but her observations also lead her to form bias very quickly and deeply.

Like several of Austen's novels, Pride and Prejudice also cautions against infatuation with overly charming people. Wickham's smooth manner easily charms Elizabeth, but he turns out to be deceitful and selfish. Real love is found in compatibility of character: Elizabeth and Darcy come to realize that both are strong-willed but kind and intelligent. Ultimately, the novel is a strong recommendation of love as a basis for marriage, something that was not always the case in its era.

WUTHERING HEIGHTS - Emily Bronte

Instead of presenting an overly sentimental worst-case scenario meant to frighten its readers onto the straight-and-narrow, Wuthering Heights seduces its readers with its dark passion and misguided characters. Both Heathcliff and Catherine are flawed characters, but their flaws intrigue the reader just as surely as they repel.
The darkness of the story and the lack of accompanying moral teachings may come as a shocker, while the intricacies of the cyclical plot―the destruction and ultimate reunification of the families―should not be missed. A novel that combines masterful literary devices with all of the scandals of a soap opera, Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights was a drama far ahead of its time and a must read!

NUMBERS 3INFINITY by rachel ward

I wasn't looking forward to reading this conclusion to the series before I opened up the first page and saw an interesting little note from the publisher. It summed up for me what this series has been trying to say all along in a few succinct sentences:
"Actually, it's not about dying; it's about how to live with the knowledge. That's the secret - and it takes a rather terrifying last twist in this final book. Don't close your eyes."

one indian girl by chetan bhagat

This novel of Chetan Bhagat deals with the most cliché question, 'what women really want?'  Unlike his previous novels, this time writer pens a female as his protagonist, to raise bigger issues such as gender equality, society verses individualism, feminism, liberalism and humanism.  Writer tries to target modern, liberated and independent youngsters who believe in 'live and let others live' as they have the capacity to handle the so-called pressure of 'being Indian'. Bhagat wants to draw attention to this issue that if it is a female, challenges and pressure of 'being Indian girl' is even harder.  Her protagonist Radhika Mehta like every other independent Indian girl comes out as a fighter who knows how to learn from her own experiences and how to live life on her own terms. Somewhat, Chetan Bhagat is succeeded in setting the example with the help of the climax of the novel which is uncommon and rebellious.MUST READ IT

REVOLUTION 2020

Revolution 2020 is the story of three childhood friends: Gopal, Raghav, and Aarthi. The story is setup in the holy-city of Varanasi. Gopal and Raghav are schoolmates from the childhood and share the same bench in school. Aarthi is also from the same class. Gopal loves Aarthi from the school days.
The story's narrator is Gopal. I am not going to tell you the entire story and be a suspense spoiler.
Gopal comes from a filmy-Indian-middle-class background. Raghav is from an almost well to do family, where as Aarathi comes from a kind of bureaucratic and political family. Three of them have their own ambitions in life. Gopal wants to be a rich man, Raghav wants to change the world, Aarthi wants to become an air hostess.
After the failure in getting through JEE and AIEEE exams, Gopal is forced by his father to repeat the exams next year. But Raghav secures a good rank and joins the top college in Varanasi. Aarthi falls in love with Raghav.
What happens when Gopal returns to Varanasi after his one year stint at cracking the entrance exams is the main part of the story. Apart from losing his love, he couldn't find a seat in engineering to fulfill his father's dream.
How Gopal chooses corruption as an aid to become a successful person while Raghav tries to change the world(read as India) with his revolutionary ideals is what the middle pages of the book are all about.
In the ending, things kind of change though, and you will be left to yourself to wonder who is right and who is wrong. Except for a faint hint in the end, Chetan doesn't really judge what Gopal does is good or bad.
Following the tradition of the latest Bollywood movies, you can find few swearing words which start with letters b and a and f. I leave it your imagination to figure out those words. I really wonder whether Chetan added those words in the drafts after those movies are released or those words were there from the beginning.

VERONICA DECIDES TO DIE

this book is Paulo Coelho
Veronika is a 24 year old Slovenian woman who one day decides to kill herself, apparently because (1) "everything in her life was the same and, once her youth was gone, it would be downhill all the way" and (2) everything is wrong with the world and she feels powerless to make things right.

ONLY TIME WILL TELL BY JEFFREY ARCHER.

The story is broadly divided into 6 parts, each part dedicated to each of the main characters who have a hand in taking the story forward. Each portion of the story is told from each character's point of view (namely, Harry Clifton, his mother; Masie Clifton, Emma Barrington, Giles Barrington, Hugo Barrington & Old Jack Tar) and I was shocked at the secrets of each character, games and deceit. The story brings victory and disappointment together at different points of time. The friendship of Harry Clifton and Old Jack Tar is touching. The latter turns out to be a man of virtues and values and a friend everyone craves for.
One of my favourite characters in the story is Masie Clifton. Though she does resort to not-so-correct means to provide Harry his education, she remains a woman of admiration and substance. She struggles to get work (no one gives her work at the docks when she reveals her complete name) in an era when women weren't supposed to be going out of their homes to work. Though uneducated herself and a single mother, she manages to nurture Harry's natural talent and flair for music and language and sees to it that he gets the best. Hard-working, determined and strong, this character impresses us.
